Tim Donahue started the law firm of Donahue & Associates, LLC in 2002 after working over two decades in large law firms. He decided to open his law firm so that he could provide individualized representation using the large law firm structure to which he had become accustomed. After nearly two decades, Tim remains committed to this founding principle.

Tim has tried over 100 jury cases to conclusion and specializes in governmental and municipality liability law, as well as construction litigation and workmen’s compensation. He is a frequent lecturer to various business groups, governmental entities and trade associations around the Southeast.

In recent years, Mr. Donahue has handled a number of class- and collective-action lawsuits involving numerous plaintiffs. He is one a select group of lawyers to have led the defense of a major class action brought against Alabama municipalities arising out of municipal court operations.

For his outstanding results over his career, Tim has been recognized by multiple legal and community organizations. He was selected as a Fellow by the Litigation Counsel of America, which is an invitation- only society that consists of less than one-half of one percent of American Lawyers. Tim is rated AV Preeminenttm by the Martindale-Hubbell Bar Register of Preeminent Lawyers, which recognizes his achievement of the highest level of legal ability and ethical standards, as determined by a structured peer review of practicing attorneys and members of the judiciary.

Tim also believes in the effectiveness of alternative dispute resolution and the beneficial impact it has on all parties involved in a lawsuit. As such, Tim is a registered Mediator with the Alabama Center for Dispute Resolution, which allows him to affectively resolve matters outside litigation for both his clients and other parties seeking his assistance.
